Emmet County Busted Mugshots is a private reference, not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, release anyone, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the office responsible for the record.

Choose the Correct Office

The Emmet County Sheriff's Office operates the jail and holds county booking material. Sheriff Justin Schultes, Civil Clerk and Jail Administrator Laurie Thomas, and sheriff staff work from the Law Enforcement Center.

Choose a route based on the record or custody system:

  • For a named booking sheet or intake photograph, use the county request form and ask for an estimate. No specific booking-photo fee is published.
  • For present Emmet County Jail custody, call the sheriff or use IowaVINE. The home page explains both paths and the absence of a public roster.
  • For a warrant question, call the sheriff and review the court docket. Sheriff's Most Wanted explains the check process; no official online list was found.
  • For filed charges, disposition, certified records, or older pre-1998 cases, contact the Iowa District Court for Emmet County, 609 1st Avenue North, Estherville, IA 51334, at 712-362-3325.
  • For a sentenced state prisoner's record, use Iowa Department of Corrections. Its Central Office records contact is Jen Rathje, 510 E. 12th Street, Des Moines, IA 50319, 515-802-0898.
  • For federal custody, use the Federal Bureau of Prisons locator. For ICE custody, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator. Neither is an Emmet County booking source.
  • For an Estherville police incident report, contact Estherville Police at 712-362-3515. EPD and the sheriff share a building but keep different records.

Armstrong City Hall and the Ringsted city clerk handle their own municipal records, not county jail photographs. An Armstrong or Ringsted booking request belongs with the sheriff and county.
